The Northern Neck Tourism Council is a non-profit, 501-3C Corporation,  membership organization designed to promote travel and tourism in the five counties within the Northern Neck: King George, Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland.  Through advertising, publicity, promotion and personal service, the Council assists its members in being better businesses and ambassadors of tourism.

The Council also works with local travel councils and county and town governmental agencies to promote travel and attract tourists to the area. The Council provides access to state agencies and professional hospitality organizations.

Every year, the Council prints 100,000 copies of its 66 page visitors guide. The guide is distributed throughout the area and is used by visitors and residents alike as a source of things to see and do, special events, shopping, etc. Members are entitled to a listing in the visitors guide as part of the dues structure.

By pooling resources, the Tourism Council has become the prominent voice of tourism for the Northern Neck. For more information on joining, contact the Tourism Council at 333-1919.
